Deep Learning 04: Sigmoid

Imagine you have a magic squishy button 🎛️ that takes any number — big, small, positive, or negative — and squeezes it into a range between 0 and 1.

  • If you give it a big positive number (like +10), it almost becomes 1.
    → Input: +10 → Output: 0.999 (almost 1)

  • If you give it a big negative number (like -10), it almost becomes 0.
    → Input: -10 → Output: 0.00005 (almost 0)

  • If you give it 0, it gives you 0.5 (right in the middle!).
    → Input: 0 → Output: 0.5
